Ticketing clerk

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Welcome, inform and direct visitors;
  • Explain the visit using the map or model;
  • Admit visitors. Collect cash, credit and debit card payments, and issue corresponding tickets;
  • Manage cash and foreign exchange reserves;
  • Issue and sell individual tickets or packages for the Park;
  • Handle customer complaints and requests in a professional manner. Treat reception as a one-stop shop. Inform the Operations Coordinator if inquiries or complaints concern operations;
  • Handle reservation, modification and cancellation requests received by telephone, e-mail or in person;
  • Answer visitors' questions, provide information on local attractions and available activities;
  • Compile daily traffic statistics and produce a report at the end of the season;
  • Compile customer satisfaction survey data annually.
  • Keep the ticket office and surrounding areas clean;
  • Operate the canteen and gift store and take inventory at the end of the season;
  • Any other duties delegated by the immediate superior.

SKILLS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :

  • High school diploma;
  • Knowledge of English is an asset;
  • Training or experience in tourism an asset;
  • A passion for customer service and experience.

WAGES AND WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Salary: $16.10 to $18.75;
  • Works flexible hours (days and weekends)
  • Period: June to October
Cavern guide
  • Welcome visitors and provide them with information about the site, attractions and available activities.
  • Organize and lead guided tours for groups or individuals, ensuring that participants are informed and engaged.
  • Provide clear and interesting explanations
  • Ensure the safety of visitors during tours, making sure they follow safety rules and instructions.
  • Answer visitors' questions and offer personalized assistance to meet their needs and preferences.

Qualifications :

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to manage emergency situations and to demonstrate calm and professionalism in all circumstances.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Receptionist

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Group spectators together and direct them to the multimedia room;
  • Explain the multimedia concept to visitors and accompany them into the room;
  • Inform customers of key instructions;
  • Start multimedia;
  • During the day, clean the reception building and terrace and manage the displays;
  • Contribute to the end-of-season inventory of the canteen and souvenirs;
  • At the end of the season, helps clean the reception area and terrace;
  • Take the training required to perform his job effectively, at the employer's request;
  • Any other duties delegated by the immediate superior.

Operations Coordinator

THE SOCIÉTÉ RÉCRÉO-TOURISTIQUES DE DESBIENS is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator for Parc le Trou de la Fée.

DEVELOPMENT :

  • Assist the General Manager in the development of the Park;
  • Coordinate activities related to the Park's development.

HUMAN RESOURCES :

  • Plan work schedules for staff assigned to reception and tours of the Park's cavern;
  • Receives and approves timesheets from employees under its responsibility and validates their accuracy;
  • Plan the distribution of tasks to staff under his/her responsibility;
  • Ensure the health and safety of all employees;
  • Train staff to Park standards and ensure the quality of their work and the information they provide to visitors;
  • Human resources management for Park employees.

OPERATIONAL :

  • Plan the efficient operation of the Park during the opening period;
  • Create, develop and manage Park events and activities;
  • Respect the Park's operating budget and participate in its preparation;
  • Manage day-to-day customer requests at the operational level, in collaboration with management;
  • Handle complaints and follow up where necessary;
  • Plan, authorize purchases, make purchases and track inventory;
  • Management of social networks and marketing in general;
  • Any other duties delegated by the General Manager.

SKILLS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :

  • College diploma in tourism or relevant experience.
  • Experience in marketing is an asset;
  • Ability to work in a team and manage staff.
  • Demonstrate leadership, creativity and dynamism.

WAGES AND WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Salary: According to experience
  • Seasonal work from May to October
